Luck stat in Metaphor ReFantazio: What it does and how to increase it

Metaphor ReFantazio is the latest JRPG on the market, and has been created by the makers of the Persona series of games, Atlus and Sega. Being an RPG, the title places an emphasis on character development, including aspects such as enhancing stat levels to improve the party's skillset, to make combat easier for players across the vast in-game world.

In addition to this, the characters' base stats can also be improved, ranging between five different stat types. Of these, Luck is quite beneficial, given how useful it can be in certain combat situations and in acquiring additional items after battles. Simply put, the value of the Luck stat determines the likelihood of increasing item drop rates, the character landing critical hits and inflicting status ailments, and more. Increasing the Luck stat can help deal these aforementioned advantages with ease.

In regards to critical hits, the same does not stand true for Magic attacks; it only pertains to physical attacks such as slash, hack, and others. Additionally, having a higher Luck value will not do anything to increase the base damage of the attacks, and will only be effective for critical hits.

Increasing Luck in Metaphor ReFantazio

The best way to increase Luck is to allot a stat point to it when the character levels up, and a prompt appears asking which stat one would like to upgrade. Additionally, certain Archetypes like Mage, Merchant, and Faker also provide minor bonuses for the Luck stat when equipped.

In addition to this, certain weapons and items such as the Joker Knives or the Investor's Abacus being equipped may also benefit players with a boost to the luck stat. Finally, using the toilet on the Gauntlet Runner during an Idlesday will provide a small Luck boost to the character. This bonus is only available on Idlesday. Fortunately, there's no need to worry as the toilet can be used any time during the day.
