This new chapter, named 'Reckoning', continues the title's story quest and features new bosses, nodes, rewards, and more. Exploring Marvel Contest of Champions Act 9 Chapter 1

Details

Chapter 1 is only the first installment of the new Act, with three more chapters yet to be released before Act 9 is completed. It has also been revealed that each chapter is made up of six quests. There are three paths per quest and each one offers six encounters.

Each of the quests also features three final bosses, that are not path dependent. Hence, players attempting the quest will have to face the bosses regardless of the path they choose. Choice Nodes can also be found just before these bosses, allowing players to switch out a non-KO'd champion for a new one, as long as the former is a 5-Star, 6-Star, or 7-Star fighter.

The total cost of completing a quest would be 414 Energy, whereas for exploration it is 1242 Energy.

Nodes in Marvel Contest of Champions Act 9 Chapter 1

Global Nodes are applied to all fighters that are being used for an Act. The following Global Nodes will be applied in Marvel Contest of Champions Act 9 Chapter 1:

• Adrenaline Rush: This Node allows the attacker to get up to 100% damage reduction. It directly scales with the Adrenaline.
• Hold the Line: This Node increases the effectiveness of blocks, by up to 80%. It also scales with Adrenaline.
• Pulling Rank - 7 Stars: This node will increase the attack stat of all 7-star attackers by 800 to 2800 points.
• Free Spirit: The attacker's Sprit Gain Rate is doubled.

Additionally, various Scourge Nodes that buff only defenders will also be active for Marvel Contest of Champions Act 9 Chapter 1. The Scourge Nodes become more powerful as the Defender accumulates Scourge Charges. Proliferate Nodes will provide Defenders with Scourge Charges as the battle goes on.

Clarify Nodes can be used by the Attackers to reduce the amount of Scourge Charge that Defenders have.

Players can receive completion rewards by finishing the story quest once, through any path. Exploration rewards are granted if we complete other possible paths to an Act. Here are the rewards of Marvel Contest of Champions Act 9 Chapter 1:

• One 7-Star Class Hero Crystal
• Three T6 Class Catalyst Selector
• One Nexus 6 Star Relic Crystal
• 10,000 7-Star Titan Crystal Shards
• 85,500 Tier 4 Alpha Catalyst Fragments
• 20 7-Star Signature Stones
• 5,000,000 Gold

Path Rewards can be picked while completing quests.

• Five Tier 6 Class Catalyst Fragment Crystal 25%
• 5,700 Tier 4 Alpha Catalyst Fragments
• 2,500 7-Star Hero Crystal Shards
• 1,000 7-Star Titan Crystal Shards
• 90 Units

Additionally, completing and exploring the quests will reward the following:

• Up to 20 Tier 5 Class Iso.
• Up to 15 Tier 6 Class Iso
