Since the game’s release, the community has managed to pull off some great tricks with the hero’s portal ability called the Pentagram of Farallah.

Doctor Strange is a Vanguard character in Marvel Rivals, which roughly means that you would be at the frontlines when fighting against your opponents. This is why the hero is equipped with abilities that can be used to mitigate incoming damage and help the team maintain control over the game’s objectives.

This article will highlight some of the most effective spots where you can place Doctor Strange’s portal in Marvel Rivals.

What are the best places to use Doctor Strange’s portal in Marvel Rivals?

Here is a quick overview of 5 best places where you can put down portals as Doctor Strange in Marvel Rivals:

1) Odin’s Archive

While playing on the Royal Guard map and capturing Odin’s Archive, you can use Doctor Strange’s portal to block the lower entry point and the staircase that leads to the objective location. This is a quick way to waste 20 seconds of the enemy team’s time and make progress on your capture percentage.

It is important to note that you will need to position your portals by flipping them to create a loop between both locations. Once that is done, anyone trying to take the objective from the lower levels will be stuck going from the stairs to the ground room.

2) Spider Islands

As Doctor Strange, you can create another confusing portal while playing Convoy on the Spider Islands map. Just near the first checkpoint, the convoy reaches an area where the road on both sides is slanted. You can create two looping portals on either side of both paths to block enemies from pushing near the checkpoint.

These portals are highly effective, and your opponents will be forced to either wait for 20 seconds or go back to take the upper-floor routes. You can then post up your teammates on the roofs to take the fight while contesting the convoy.

3) Klyntar

When playing as a defender on Klyntar, you can move to the first checkpoint along with your team, create a portal directly on the objective location, and place the exit on top of the enemy spawn. This is an aggressive strategy that you can take to bombard the enemy team directly outside their spawn.

However, if you make the portal too early, you might not be able to deal much damage to the opponents. It is best to send one Vanguard at the front to engage the enemy and use a Duelist at the portal to sneak in as much damage as possible.

4) Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda

Birnin T’Challa is a comparatively smaller map where you would need to fight to take control of the Imperial Dueling Ground. As soon as the barriers drop, you can make your way to the extreme edge of the map and take the jump boost to get on the ledges. These ledges directly exit above the objective point.

You can then create a portal from the tunnel exit and open the other end inclined over the objective point. Make sure that the exit portal provides you a full view of the arena as you can freely contest the site by sitting behind safe cover. The exit portal in the air makes it difficult for the enemies to retaliate or take the portal back.

5) Spider Islands

The Spider Islands can be a bit tricky to play as a defender since most of the walls surrounding the capture point are destructible. This is where you can use the portal and inflict a large amount of damage with Doctor Strange’s portals. Walk up to the objective location and use your levitation ability to get to the top of the building. From here, you can make a simple portal and create the exit point in the air.

Similar to the Birnin T’Challa map, you will need to make the exit portal over the main objective location. This will help you drive away enemies and deter them from claiming the zone near the gates. This can also be done while contesting the convoy by pairing it up with powerful ultimates like that of Iron Man.
