Several members of the Marvel Rivals community believe that Jeff the Land Shark desperately needs to be nerfed. The friendly Strategist can dive during any situation with his Hide And Seek ability and move freely underground while healing allies. His kit is rather straightforward and impactful for a healer. However, his ultimate, It's Jeff!, allows him to swallow enemies and head off the map. In the process, Jeff the Land Shark and the enemies die altogether.
There are no known counters to this move, apart from simply trying to avoid it. Redditor u/Faroji took to the platform to voice their displeasure with Jeff's ultimate and how it's near impossible to fight against it.

"This is one of those things where I described it as a “Feel Bad” mechanic. There are a LOT of heroes who can run in, press Q, and Team Wipe. But Jeff’s the only one who has a 10 second stun attached to."
Players also often report getting nabbed by Jeff's ultimate while playing as Iron Man, a hero who is constantly airborne. The issue here is, Jeff's ultimate appears to be limited to the ground when it's triggered. Therefore, it makes no sense for it to capture an airborne hero. Redditor u/Epicritical had a few thoughts about what makes them dislike Jeff's ult in Marvel Rivals so much. They also felt that it was bothersome that the ultimate holds players hostage for a long duration before finally wiping them out for good.
Finally, u/isseidoki suggested a nerf to the ultimate in Marvel Rivals, saying that perhaps Jeff's movement can be nerfed based on the enemies he consumes for the ultimate.
Should Jeff the Land Shark be nerfed in Marvel Rivals?
Jeff the Land Shark is a popular pick in Marvel Rivals. His simple kit and in-game impact make him a strong choice for many players, especially new ones. Most of his kit would seem rather balanced with his Healing Bubbles and unique diving ability.
However, perhaps his ultimate is rather bothersome. As many Redditors mentioned above, it's rather difficult to counter Jeff's ultimate. Perhaps a range nerf could make it more balanced, especially verticle range so that characters far above in the air do not get impacted. Regardless, every player may have their own perspective.
