Marvel Rivals launch trailer breakdown: New heroes, release date, and more

NetEase Games has released a brand-new launch trailer for Marvel Rivals. Their hotly anticipated 6v6 third-person hero shooter is set to launch on PC and consoles on December 6, 2024, as a free-to-play experience. Titled "Rivals Till The End", the bombastic trailer showcased the game's final roster, including brand-new hero additions that have never been seen before.

With fan anticipation mounting further thanks to the previous Beta Playtests, players can't wait to experience what Marvel Rivals has to offer. Here is the full breakdown of the new launch trailer.

The trailer opens alongside an upbeat theme song as the various heroes and vigilantes are showcased in succession. In addition to already-known additions like Captain America, Magneto, Namor, and so on, we also get a glimpse of the five new additions to the roster. These include:

• Wolverine
• Iron Fist
• Squirrel Girl
• Black Widow
• Cloak & Dagger

These characters will be joined by the other heroes unveiled since the last beta ended, such as Psylocke, Moon Knight, Winter Soldier, and Hawkeye. We also get a new glimpse at recently showcased maps, including Empire of Wakanda, Hydra Charteris Base, and Klyntar.

This cuts to a montage of heroes performing their abilities against one another, such as Magik's portal allowing allies to move between points or Squirrel Girl's explosive slingshot. No matter which character fans will pick on launch, they will each get a different experience due to the unique gameplay styles embodied by each character.

Whether it is the melee-driven chaos of the Hulk and the ranged sniping skills of Hawkeye, or the handy heals of Rocket Raccoon and Magneto's tanky powers, there is something for everyone. This complete package, with the latest balance tweaks, updated gameplay, and more, will be in players' hands once the multiplayer game launches globally early next month.
