The showcase trailer for the map shows the detailed polished corridors and hallways of the Hydra Charteris base which is situated in Antarctica. The organization has channeled an otherworldly threat thanks to the power of the red-tinted crystals created using chronal energy.
With the Hive aiming to march through a summoned portal, the Marvel heroes and villains must gather to stop this attempt across the areas of "Hell's Heaven". This is the third map to be featured following the two from Marvel Rivals beta: Tokyo 2099 and Yggsgard - but there is more to come still.
The Dev Vision 2 Vol. 2 sheds light on more maps coming to the third-person hero shooter: Wakanda makes its debut with Birnin T'Challa and Hall of Djalia constituting the Domination and Convergence modes respectively. Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface is also another Convergence map to be confirmed. Lastly, Tokyo 2099 gets the new Warped Ninomaru Conquest map.
The team will continue to fine-tune characters for the perfect balance at launch based on beta feedback and data, to ensure a more refined, less clunky gameplay experience for players when they dive into Season 0, "Dooms' Rise”. Fans taking on the multiplayer for the first time will be able to test their skills in a new Practice Range as well.
Enhancements to UI and sound elements will allow for a more seamless multiplayer experience no matter which hero players use. This care also extends to anti-cheating measures, with the developers reporting less than 1% instances of cheating in Marvel Rivals, and even those cases were punished with bans within a week. This spells good news for fans worried about cheaters in the upcoming title.
Finally, the team is also preparing for the future with content like heroes and maps for Season 1 are undergoing final touches, so fans will not be starved for new incentives to return to the game.
Marvel Rivals arrives on December 6, 2024, as a free-to-play multiplayer game on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
