Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass: New trailer puts heroes in a dark world

The Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass is officially titled Darkhold. In the Marvel universe, The Darkhold is a unique artifact that contains dark spells and evil methods of sorcery (among other things). Given its terrifying contents, it's also named the Book of Sins.

According to Marvel Rivals lore, pages from this rather terrifying book got scattered across New York City with the attack of Dracula and Dr. Doom, who disrupted the Moon's orbit to bring about an eternal night. Keeping these themes in mind, the new Battle Pass shows the impressive, edgy, and near-gothic designs of the new hero costumes.

Loki appears donning a symbiote-possessed new costume, giving him a nightmarish new makeover. Meanwhile, Wolverine's new costume makes him look like a vampire hunter much akin to the fictional character Van Helsing. Rocket Raccoon gets a mage-punk-like appearance, wearing a top hat with goggles, while Iron Man becomes a knight in armor.

Finally, Scarlet Witch and Adam Warlock appear as if they have become possessed by the Darkhold. These are just some interesting costumes from the Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass. Other characters such as Magneto, Moon Knight, and Namor will also receive brand new costumes to elevate their appearance according to the theme.

Overall, it appears that Marvel Rivals is going all out to keep the Eternal Night theme consistent for all content across Season 1. In total, there are 10 new hero skins for fans to purchase or earn.
