The Creative Director for Marvel Rivals starts off the roadmap for Season 1 by discussing the new characters coming to the game. Marvel Rivals Season 1 will also receive a total of three new maps:
- Empire of Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum
- Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown
- Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park
Season 1 will last for a total of three months and will be divided into two halves. Each half will continue for around six to seven weeks.
The first part of the upcoming season will bring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman to the roster. Empire of Eternal Night Midtown will be added as a Convoy game mode map alongside a completely new game mode called Doom Match in Sanctum Sanctorum. The remaining members of the Fantastic Four will likely arrive in the second half alongside other maps.
The Creative Director also said that this would be the first defined chapter in the game. Eternal Night Falls would act as a foundation for future updates and introduce a multiple-timeline background. The current season will revolve around the story of New York falling under the control of Dracula and the fight against the new threat.
All of the chapters and stories will be an attempt to create a unified Chronoverse Saga for Marvel Rivals starting with Season 1.

Moving on to the Battle Pass, the Marvel Rivals Season 1 update will introduce double the amount of content compared to the first pass. It will contain a total of 10 new character cosmetics and the Luxury version of the Battle Pass will be priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10). By playing the game and completing different tasks, you can earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units by completing the pass.
Lead Combat Designer Zhiyong takes the stage and highlights the chaotic battlefield players can experience in the new game mode, Doom Match. Players will fight each other in a lobby of 8 to 12 players where only the top 50% of the leaderboard secure the win. The new Convoy map is also set to feature reversible environment damage and enable new playstyles.
