The trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 1 was released on January 6, 2025. The brand-new clip featured the Fantastic Four vying against time to save New York City from none other than Dracula, the new villain of the Marvel Rivals storyline. The big reveal involving the villain came as quite a surprise to fans. However, the character has been teased by NetEase Games before.
A curious fan was able to sniff out Dracula's existence in the Marvel Rivals universe back in December 2024. Reddit user u/Moss_Ball8066 had posted an image of Squirrel Girl's character bio, which evidently mentions the villain. This article will further explain how Dracula was teased by NetEase Games earlier.

Marvel Rivals teased Dracula ahead of the Season 1 trailer reveal
Marvel Rivals had seemingly teased Dracula with the release of Squirrel Girl. The cheerful hero is said to have saved New York City from the clutches of the Lord of the Vampires. Her character bio reads:
"With all of New York City under attack by creatures of the night, Squirrel Girl assembled an adorable army to reclaim Central Park from the clutches of Dracula. Here's hoping vampires don't like the taste of squirrel!"
Interestingly enough, the brand-new Season 1 announcement suggests that Dracula has partnered up with Doctor Doom to bring upon an eternal night in New York City by disrupting the orbit of the Moon. Therefore, vampiric creatures have taken over, and the Fantastic Four have joined forces with the rest of the roster to save the world.
The similarities between this storyline and Squirrel Girl's character bio are rather uncanny. It's almost as if the entire Season 1 story had been teased along with Dracula's existence ahead of time without anyone fully registering it.
It is also possible that the events of the Season 1 storyline took place in the past. However, that is just a theory, and hasn't been confirmed by the developers at NetEase Games. Since Dracula is involved, fans are also predicting the future involvement of Blade, the Daywalker. This is because Blade is a half-vampire half-human hybrid, and there are only a few popular vampiric creatures in the Marvel multiverse.
Yet again, these are all possibilities and speculations accompanying the inclusion of Dracula in Marvel Rivals. However, it seems fairly plausible that the events and characters had been planned ahead of time.
