Balance changes in the Marvel Snap update on September 17, 2024
Following the last balance changes on September 12, 2024, developers have decided to make adjustments to more cards to improve the meta:
- Black Swan: Apart from gaining Activate ability, the cost and power of the Black Swan card are also altered from 3/5 to 2/3 to allow players to use it more frequently during board games.
- Hellcow: Similar to Black Swan, Hellcow also receives stat changes in addition to the mechanic update. The power of this card is reduced from 8 to 6 to prevent her from becoming too dominant in discard strategies after getting the Activate ability.
- Sword Master: While the cost and power remain unchanged, the effect of Sword Master has received a slight adjustment. It will now target odd-costed cards specifically, which opens up new synergies and narrows the discard pool.
Changes to Gold offers in the Marvel Snap update
Nuverse is also adjusting the game's economy, specifically focusing on Gold offers in the Webshop. The Bonus Double Gold deals will be phased out 30 days after this patch. These popular offers had unintended effects on the in-game economy, prompting the development team to introduce new, balanced offers that promote long-term sustainability.
New players will no longer have access to these old deals but can look forward to refreshed offers in the future.
Bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements in the latest Marvel Snap balance changes
The following are the patch fixes introduced in the latest Marvel Snap update:

- Visual and animation fixes: VFX for certain troops and locations such as The Ice Box, Fisk Tower, and Cannonball have been improved. The Silver Samurai’s base art will no longer lose its split background when upgraded to Frame Break.

Text and volume inconsistencies across different languages have been fixed, improving clarity for players globally.
