As mentioned previously, the special ability of Odin, Asgard's King, has been adjusted to address his dominance in multi-battle scenarios, particularly in Alliance War and Cosmic Crucible. Previously, this ability of Odin allowed him to clear one Exhaust from himself and his allies instantly, irrespective of the remaining number of Exhaust stacks. making it difficult to take him down over multiple fights.
With the upcoming Marvel Strike Force update, Odin's special ability will now clear Exhaust, but only if he has fewer than two. This tweak gives opposing players a better chance to defeat him in extended battles, as he will be less resilient against multiple attacks.
- Old special ability (Neutralize Target): Clears one Exhaust from self and all allies, regardless of the number of Exhaust stacks.
- New special ability (Neutralize Target): Clears one Exhaust from self and all allies, but only if Odin has fewer than two Exhaust.
Mighty Thor's passive ability adjustment in the Marvel Strike Force update
The passive ability of Mighty Thor, or Jane Foster, has also been altered to fit her role alongside other Asgardians. Previously, her passive ability granted Charge to all Asgardian allies, including Odin.
That said, this prevented Odin from gaining Ability Energy, which he acquires by losing Charge. This low Charge and high Ability Energy allows Odin to trigger his Ultimate Ability to destroy opponents on the battlefield. This synergy issue led to a rework of Mighty Thor’s passive ability.
The update now ensures that Mighty Thor grants Charged only to non-Mythic Asgardians, preventing Jane from disrupting Odin's energy flow.
- Old passive ability (Future Blitz): Grants Charged to all Chargeable Hero Asgardian allies, including Odin.
- New passive ability (Future Blitz): Grants Charged only to non-Mythic Asgardian allies, excluding Odin.
