Personality of Merengue

As a normal type of personality, Merengue is one of the earliest villagers to get up in the morning, around 6:00 AM in fact. Odds are she’ll always be up when you first login in the daytime. Merengue gets along well with other normal, peppy lazy, smug, and snooty villagers. In fact, she gets along well with nearly everyone, except for villagers who are cranky or sisterly. If you villagers with those personalities, be expecting an argument or two.

For the player themselves, Merengue will always treat them in a kind manner, except for when the player attempts to frustrate Merengue.

Appearance of Merengue

Merengue is one of the few food-themed Villagers, looking like her namesake, a merengue cream. She has a mostly light pink body with white hands and feet. Merengue has brown eyes and cream-like hair on the top of her head. Her most defining feature is the strawberry she has for a horn. She wears a chef’s apron that matches her color palette, being white and red.

How to get Merengue in New Horizons

Getting a villager you want in New Horizons is particularly tricky, as there is only one surefire way to do so, the rest is up to luck. There are two primary methods of getting Merengue in your village, the first is using Nook Miles to fly to an island and see if she is there. Keep in mind if you do this you’ll have to have an open plot available. The next is to wait and see if she’ll appear at your campsite. Either way, both methods are luck-based, so it’s completely up to chance.

Role of Celeste in New Leaf

In New, Leaf Merengue is a villager that you could have the chance to have live in your town. She is much like herself in New Horizons, with little to no changes.

Amiibo

A guaranteed way to get Merengue on your island is to use her Amiibo card. Simply scan it with your Switch on the Town Hall. Keep in mind in order to do this you need to have both the Town Hall and Campsite constructed. Once you’ve invited her to your campsite, you simply need to do this three times and she’ll be part of your island!
