Konami have confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will only be playable on the PlayStation 3. The game is coming to the PlayStation Network on December 17.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the latest installment of the franchise, set in "a battle-scarred future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using mercenaries. This financed battlefield is seen through the battle-weary eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East and South America."
This game was released back in 2008 and has been a financial success, selling 6 million copies worldwide. The game is set nine years after the events of Metal Gear Solid and five years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Guns of the Patriots is a direct sequel to MGS and MGS 2, and concludes the story of both the Patriots and Solid Snake.
Available for the first time as a digital download, this re-release of the 2008 hit game will cost you £19.99/€19.99 (US price TBC) and will take 30GB of the space on your hard-drive.
