You will first come across this trickster while exploring Martira, and given the correct stat in the Royal Virtue of Imagination, you will be able to bond with him. How to unlock Alonzo as a follower in Metaphor ReFantazio?

Unlocking Alonzo as a follower will require you to progress the game to 06/30. You will reach Martira at this point in the story and will be looking forward to capturing the outlaw, Heismay. When you get a free day, a cutscene will trigger where Grius' Memento will be stolen from you.

A man will approach you and inform you of the theft, but you won't be able to avail of his services unless you have Imagination at Level 2. Once you do, you can convince him to help you out, but he will ask a favor. You must retrieve a ring from a dungeon near Martira. Completing the A Dagger, a Ring, and a Rake Side Quest will unlock the Nidia man as your follower, giving you access to the Faker Archetype.

• Rank 1: Talk with him in Martira and complete the A Dagger, a Ring, and a Rake Side Quest to gain him as a follower.
• Rank 2: Talk with him after reaching Port Brielhaven. You can find him in the Angler’s Inn Square. Requires Wisdom Rank 3.
• Rank 3: Talk with him after two in-game days after rank 2. You can find him in the same location.
• Rank 4: Talk with him after two in-game days. This will require you to level your Tolerance Rank to 4.
• Rank 5: Talk with him after two in-game days. You can find him in Port Brielhaven.
• Rank 6: Talk with him after two in-game days.
• Rank 7: Talk with him after two in-game days.
