The Tomb of Lament in Metaphor ReFantazio

It is recommended to have a Magic Knight and a Cleric or Healer archetype in your party to make this dungeon slightly easier. Pugilist and Brawler archetypes can also help here, and as always, make sure to have some healing items in storage, with some Light and Strike attacks in the characters' arsenal.

As soon as you enter the tomb, a Pyrite Imitec will attack the party. Use Wind to defeat it, and stock up on some Blessed Water dropped by it. There will now be some Guptauros standing in the way, patrolling the area. While it is possible to defeat them with Pierce and Ice attacks, it is suggested to simply avoid them as far as possible. Head west, and proceed downstairs.

Another Guptauros is present and can be defeated by using the aforementioned tactics. Two other Guptauros are also lurking nearby, but it is recommended to avoid them by using the side rooms to proceed past them. Continue on the path, and the route diverges, with one path going north and one going east.

Heading north will lead to a room with some items that can be picked up, but beware of a Pyrite Imitec in the way. Once the area has been looted, head east down the staircase to proceed further into the dungeon toward the main boss. There will be another Guptauros, so turn left immediately after descending the staircase while being on the lookout for a Pyrite Imitec.

Head south and enter the room southeast of the staircase. Flip the lever on the wall, and a secret opening will reveal itself. Enter it, head south, take the first right and head downstairs. The landing of this staircase presents two routes - one going south and one going north.

Though heading south will allow the acquisition of some loot, there are multiple Guptauros on the path, which can affect the HP and MP of the party negatively. Given the Fatolich battle requires ample party health and skill points, it is advisable to not head south. Head north instead, veer left, flip the lever on the wall and loot the area. Ahead lies Fatolich.

Defeating Fatolich

Fatolich can summon support in the form of a creature called Chimenza, whose presence on the battlefield is beneficial to it and very detrimental to the party. This is because each time a Chimenza is on the field, it can heal Fatolich using the Deiamahan spell and help Fatolich recover a large amount of HP. Take down Chimenza as soon as possible. As for Fatolich, use Light and Strike attacks as it is vulnerable to them.

The boss is resistant to Mage attacks, and will also defend Fire, Ice, Dark, Wind and Electric attacks. Exploit its vulnerability, but also avoid the Curse Chant, a Hex that can afflict the party with a Status ailment. Use the Cleric's Synthesis skills to also help take down Fatolich.

As a reward for defeating the Fatolich, the party will be awarded MAG and Reeves. Additionally, the Chalice of Legends will be acquired, which can be turned in at the bounty center to prove that Fatolich was defeated in exchange for a reward.
