The Group Stage began on July 3, 2024, with 16 teams divided into four groups of four. Falcons AP.Bren (Group D) clashed against Xianyou Gaming (Group D) in the opening fixture. For those who might not know, the former won the M5 World Championship 2023.
In the game against Xianyou Gaming, a new name in MLBB's competitive scene, the squad managed to get a clean sweep. The final scoreline was 2-0 in AP.Bren's favor.
In the second match of the opening day, the other two Group D teams (Falcon Esports and Cloud9) clashed, and the former thrashed the underdog. Falcon Esports secured a 2-0 victory against Cloud9.
The next game was the first Group B match, where Fnatic ONIC came face-to-face with Team Falcons. This was the clash between two heavyweights, and the latter had the home crowd advantage. Despite that, Fnatic ONIC managed to grab a convincing victory. winning 2-0 against Team Falcons.
After that, NIP Flash faced Fireflux Esports in the opening game of Group A. The latter had to swallow a 2-0 defeat in this matchup.

On Thursday, when the Group A teams clashed against each other, the excitement started to rise again. All the involved squads gave it their all to try and enter the next stage.
FireFlux Esports, who was at the bottom of the table after Day 1, faced RRQ Akira, a heavyweight in Group A, in Day 2's opening game. However, to everyone's surprise, the former managed to beat the opponent 2-0, keeping its Esports World Cup Dreams alive.
In the next game, EVOS Glory was facing NIP Flash, and the majority of the community expected the former to secure its spot among the top two teams in the group. However, NIP Flash showed incredible determination to draw the match 1-1.
It was crucial for this squad to stay focused, as it was facing RRQ Akira in the very next match. And NIP Flash managed to do so, as it got a clean-sweep victory over RRQ Akira. The game ended with a scoreline of 2-0 in the former's favor. This result pushed RRQ towards the elimination zone.
In the final game of Day 2 of Mobile Legends Bang Bang Mid Season Cup and of Group A, FireFlux Esports showed admirable gameplay, winning against EVOS Glory 2-0 and getting itself out of the elimination zone.
The latter, the winner of MPL Indonesia and a fan-favorite squad in Group A, was only one victory away from qualifying for the next stage. However, despite all its efforts, Evos Glory exited the tournament on Day 2.

On Day 3, HomeBois of Malaysia faced Twisted Minds of MENA in the opening fixture. This Group C game drew a lot of attention as both teams have huge fanbases and are often considered the villains of their regions.
While Twisted Minds had the home advantage, HomeBois was not ready to give up its momentum. As a result, it managed to beat Twisted Minds 2-0, spicing up the competition in Group C.
The next match saw Liquid ECHO take on Team Spirit, who was clearly the underdog in the group. Despite its best efforts, the latter failed to register one victory in the best-of-two series and lost the matchup 2-0.
After being defeated in the game against HomeBois on the opening day and against Liquid ECHO on Day 3, Team Spirit was already out of the tournament. However, it did manage to beat Twisted Minds in its next game, registering one victory in the event.
In the final game of Day 3, HomeBois faced Liquid ECHO in another clash of the titans. While both teams already had confirmed their seats for the Playoffs, the winner of this matchup was going to arrive in the Knockout Stage as the table-topper.

The Group B teams from the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024 in the Esports World Cup faced each other on Day 4 of the Group Stage. Fnatic ONIC, the defending champions of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Mid Season Cup, was eliminated from the tournament.
On the other hand, Selangor Red Giants kept its undefeated run intact and will enter the Playoffs as the top seed from Group B.
In Day 4's opening game, Selangor Red Giants fought Team Falcons. While many expected this to be a close contest, the former dominated the opponent from MENA and won the series 2-0. On the final day of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024 Group Stage fixtures, Group D teams arrived in the Land of Dawn, hoping to qualify for the next stage.
While Team Falcons had to go out of the tournament from the Group Stage, the other teams of the franchise managed to make it to the next round on the final day of the Group Stage.
