"Blizzard is on a quest to find a dedicated Product Marketing Consultant to join the Overwatch 2 marketing team in Irvine, CA, on a six-month contract. This individual will support the marketing team with go-to-market planning and execution of a major feature for the Overwatch 2."
Following this, the community started speculating about what the major feature coming to the FPS title could be. One Reddit user u/cablenetwork speculated that it could be for a Mobile port.
"Mobile port optimization."
Another user u/RolandTwitter supported their theory, claiming Activision has squeezed the COD engine onto mobile phones for Warzone Mobile, so OW2 Mobile is next.
A Reddit user said that with mobile phones becoming so powerful to run games like Resident Evil 7, the day OW2 mobile arrives is not far.
"Hey it runs on Switch.. kind of. We’ve seen phones can now play RE7. I think phones have come pretty far in terms of gaming."

One Reddit user speculated that Blizzard is bringing back the PvE mode in the FPS title and the hiring is for that.

Is Blizzard working on Overwatch 2 Mobile?
Although Blizzard hasn't officially confirmed the existence of OW2 Mobile, industry insider Jason Schreier believes that the mobile version of the FPS title is real. This was revealed by him in his latest book, Play Nice: The Rise, Fall and Future of Blizzard Entertainment.
In that, he says:
"Overwatch was led by Walter Kong, who oversaw the release of regular heroes and content for Overwatch 2, as well as new projects like a mobile version of the franchise."
This points out that there is possibly a mobile version of the game in the works. However, fans should take this news with a grain of salt until the developers confirm it from their end.
