Monster Hunter Wilds is the upcoming addition to Capcom's famous Monster Hunter series, which will hit the shelves on February 28, 2025. This action RPG title will revolve around a Hunter traveling across lands full of dangerous monsters, that are forbidden to the general population. But the Hunter must go there to find a lost expedition party.
Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay
Players would have multiple options to customize their in-game character. Monster Hunter Wilds will feature different biomes with open-world settings and unique conditions. Players can travel between the different biomes with ease to capture monsters and gather resources. They can craft various items to help them with their tasks. The game would also provide a mount called Seikret. It will help players direct towards the objectives, carry two different weapons, and can also be ridden during a monster fight.
As for fighting, the game features 14 weapons from the previous Monster Hunter: World. Even the Slinger from previous games would make a comeback. However, hunters would access lots of new moves and actions. Wilds would also have a new Focus mode to target a specific part of the monster. Attacking a monster's wounded part would deal more damage.
Monsters in Wilds will have a more realistic ecosystem, as they would interact with each other. Hunting monsters would not only go after players but also weaker monsters. They might even show herd behavior to survive against the stronger monsters. Moreover, the weather and time of day could also affect the monster's behavior.
Monster Hunter Wilds platforms
Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S. However, Capcom has not shared any plans for it to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So, last-gen console users might miss out on this action RPG.
