Monster Hunter Wilds open beta 2 confirmed: Date, time, and returning monster

Capcom has announced that the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta 2 will be introduced on February 6, 2025. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto revealed that there will be two more beta tests that the developers will conduct so that players can experience how much the game has improved from the last one. Like the last test, this will also be available for a while across all platforms.

The first phase is scheduled from February 6 to 9, 2025, while the second will be from February 13 to 16, 2025. Both phases will begin at 7 pm PT.

Monster Hunter Wilds's second beta test will take place across two phases. The first will be conducted from February 6 to 9, 2025, whereas the second one will take place from February 13 to 16, 2025. Both tests will take place over weekends so that more players have the chance to experience the game before its release on February 28, 2025.

Here are the timings for when the open beta test goes live across all platforms:

Phase 1

• February 6, 2025, from 7:00 pm PT to February 9, 2025, at 6:59 pm PT.

Phase 2

• February 13, 2025, from 7:00 pm PT to February 16, 2025, at 6:59 pm PT.

Players will be able to download and play Monster Hunter Wilds across all available platforms, such as PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. PC gamers will be able to download the title via Valve's Steam storefront.

The latest video announcing the date for Monster Hunter Wilds open beta 2 also showcases a fan-favorite monster making a comeback in the upcoming entry. Gypceros, notorious for stealing map items and causing other nuisances returns, allowing players to finally settle a score with the wyvern.

Besides Gypceros, the second open beta test will feature all of the content from the previous test, including the Doshaguma hunt. If you decide to participate in the test, you will receive several bonuses, such as a Stuffed Felyne Teddy Pendant and the OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack.
