The Monster Hunter Wilds open beta 2 will have two testing periods for players to join:
Phase 1: Starting Thursday, February 6, 2025
Phase 2: Starting Thursday, February 13, 2025.

What's new in Monster Hunter Wilds open beta 2?
The open beta 2 has a lot in store, as Capcom is not just looking to reuse content from the previous beta. Instead, they have included exciting updates to ensure returning players and newcomers have plenty to explore.
Gypceros hunt: Face the returning Monster Hunter classic, Gypceros, famous for its tricky poison attacks and blinding flashes.
Expanded character creation:
- A full suite of customization tools will be available, allowing you to redesign your Hunter and Palico.
- Your character creation information is ported over to the full game, so take your time crafting the perfect look.
Story trial:
- Get a sneak peek at the opening cutscene and a tutorial mission to hunt the Chatacabra. This quest is perfect for learning weapon mechanics and the game’s seamless cutscene-to-gameplay transitions.
Doshaguma hunt:
- Face the alpha of the Doshaguma pack in this pulse-pounding hunt. Explore sweeping vistas with your loyal Seikret and swap weapons mid-fight for fluid combat.
- Multiplayer with crossplay enabled lets you play with friends or NPC support hunters (up to three) via the SOS flare system.
