The new interactivity between mobiles and other platforms that was witnessed in the recent NeatherRealm title, Injustice: Gods Among Us, will also be featured in their upcoming game of the Mortal Kombat series Mortal Kombat X. Fans of the series are rejoiced as they will be able to take a form of Mortal Kombat X almost anywhere at anytime in a mobile version available on iOS and Android when the game releases in April.
NeatherRealm describes Mortal Kombat X for mobile devices as a free-to-play fighting/card-battler hybrid game that promises to be the next biigest achievement in the genre of mobile fighting games. This “hybrid” version of the game will feature card collecting, fatalities and multiplayer combat that is the signature fearure of the series . Creative Director, Ed Boon expressed his views about the cross-connectivity between the platform title and the mobile title.
“What’s more, we’ve expanded the unique cross-connectivity feature that links the mobile and console versions of Mortal Kombat X, delivering unique rewards to all players for simply playing the mobile game.”
Thus players will be able to earn unlocks in both console and mobile version by simply logging into their WBID, to unlock a few achievements. Check out the trailer for Mortal Kombat X for mobile platforms right below.
