Most awaited 'Borderlands 3' developing soon

“Borderlands 3” likely to be the sequel to the games Borderlands and Borderlands 2 is under development. This is a sure shot news confirmed by ‘Take Two’. Borderlands 3 is in development for the “next-gen consoles” i.e. the next generation people, said Karl Slatoff, president of Take Two. Also, only PS4 and Xbox One users are going to enjoy this game as it is supported by PC, PS4 and Xbox One only.

According to Pitchford and Gearbox (the ones who spoke about the new Borderlands game during the PAX south panel), this will be a direct sequel to Borederlands 2. As the presequel came out last year, the next game should be the third main game of the Borderland series.

Borderlands 3 is not the first Borderlands game for PS4 or Xbox One, thus, new comers can catch up with the game and understand the game by buying the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection which consists of both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: the presequel.

Borderlands is a series of action role playing first person shooter video games developed by the Gearbox Software for multiple platforms, in a space western or science fantasy setting.

As stated above, the series consists of three released games:

1. Borderlands (2009)
2. Borderlands 2 (2012)
3. A presequel to Borderlands 2, released in 2014

Also, the game has several spin-off games such as :-

1. Borderlands Legends (2012), a top-down iOS spin-off Borderlands.
2. Tales from Borderlands (2014-15), an episodic adventure game by Telltale Games.
3. Borderlands Online, a forthcoming china exclusive online title.
