Bangalore secures the first place with a whopping 95.38% pick rate. She can easily hinder the enemies’ vision with her Tactical, Smoke Launcher. Moreover, she can stop any team from pushing her squad with the help of her Ultimate Ability. This versatile combination makes Bangalore’s high popularity quite predictable.

After the release of Season 22, Crypto’s popularity has seen a drastic improvement. The sole reason for this sudden hike in his pick rate is his level two EVO perk, “Off the Grid.” This perk allows Crypto to hide from enemies in plain sight as it cloaks him when he is controlling his drone.

Following most of the Controller Class legends getting nerfed, Wattson became the most superior out of them. Her Perimeter Security fences allow her to easily control any space, and her Ultimate, Interception Pylon, is exceptionally useful as it works as an Active Protection System that destroys any projectile in its effective radius. Additionally, Wattson’s fences stun the enemies who dare to cross it, allowing the former to easily secure the knockdown.

At fourth place, Fuse’s pick rate has gone down drastically after the Crypto buff. It was bound to happen as the pro players usually stick to the best characters to maximize their chances of winning.

Moving over to Newcastle, Pathfinder, and Catalyst, they are not as popular but have been used by some players. While they are in an okay state, these characters’ pick rates will likely go down over time.

After Bloodhound's massive nerf, the pro players have moved on from using him in the pro matches completely; therefore, his pick rate being 2.42% is quite justifiable.
