Both are currently among the top supports in the game, so it makes sense that they would be picked the most for clearing challenging content like Spiral Abyss, where support characters matter just as much as DPS units.

Following them is Neuvillette (one of the best DPS characters in the game), not just because of his strength but also his versatility and self-healing capabilities. Neuvillette's ability to quickly defeat multiple waves of tanky enemies makes him a very popular choice for Spiral Abyss runs. Zhongli closely follows Neuvillette in the list, which isn't surprising as the Geo support is the most powerful shielder in the game.

The rest of the list suggests comparable proportions of DPS (like Yelan, Arlecchino, Yae Miko, and Alhaitham) and support characters (like Nahida, Kazuha, Bennett, and Kuki Shinobu) being favored by players for this Spiral Abyss reset. It is also interesting to note that Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling are the only 4-star units to make it to the top 15 of this list; this shows that these characters are still useful in the meta, despite being released long back in 2020.
