Resident Evil remake games for Code Veronica and Zero are reportedly in the works at Capcom

Reddit user No1PiggyOnTheBlock recently shared a long post based on numerous leaked details from a popular German YouTuber Andi who runs the channel Screenfire Germany. If Andi's speculations and leaked information are anything to go by, Capcom is currently working on a Resident Evil remake of Code Veronica.

Apparently, Resident Evil remake for Code Veronica has been in development for 18 months. Also, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi is expected to be working on it. Interestingly, Code Veronica remake might be the next game to release after Capcom's awaited next major installment in the franchise which is rumored to be Resident Evil 9.

Resident Evil Code Veronica remake is said to change the opening sequence featuring Claire Redfield. This time, she will reportedly visit the Umbrella headquarters in Paris with a group of tourists. She will then try to steal crucial intel but will be captured and sent to Rockford Island. This section based on the island is expected to be playable.

The leaked detail also suggests that Steve's character will be more likable in the remake. Plus, Claire will reportedly fight Alexia while her brother Chris will be up against Wesker.

Additionally, a remake of Resident Evil Zero is rumored to be in development since 2023. It's expected to bring back the Partner Zapping system while featuring online co-op gameplay. Furthermore, Resident Evil remake games for the first original title and Resident Evil Revelations 1 are being discussed.

That's pretty much everything available on these two as of now. It will be interesting to see if Capcom will end up announcing all the rumored remakes in the near future.
