Mydei in Honkai Star Rail: Expected release version, path, and leaks

Mydei is one of the eight new Amphoreus characters revealed during the Honkai Star Rail 2.7 livestream. With Amphoreus being the next region to be released in version 3.0, players were given a sneak peek of the area, its lore, and some of its upcoming playable characters. Mydei is one of these eight characters known as the Chrysos Heirs.

Even though there's still some time left to go for Honkai Star Rail 3.0's release, leakers have already started disclosing information about the planet of Amphoreus and its upcoming character. Leaks about the character Mydei have also surfaced, hinting at his playable path and element and his possible release version.

Honkai Star Rail Mydei path, element, and expected release version leaked

According to the leak by Seele Leaks, Mydei is an upcoming character in Honkai Star Rail who will possibly be an Imaginary Destruction unit. So far there is only one playable Imaginary Destruction character in the game — Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae.

Seele Leaks has also suggested Mydei's possible release version, which might be in Honkai Star Rail 3.1. Fellow Chrysos Heir Tribbie (supposed Quantum Harmony unit) has also been leaked to be released in version 3.1.

Previously, a sketch of Mydei's design was disclosed by Seele Leaks (along with the designs of Castorice and Phainon). As seen from the sketch, the leaked design is quite similar to the final appearance of Mydei, as officially revealed by HoYoverse.

Additional leaks regarding Mydei's gameplay have also recently been shared by Uncle Guoba. Reportedly, Mydei might consume his own HP in order to deal damage to enemies. This mechanic has been compared to the effect provided by a "typically avoided Curio" in Divergent Universe (most probably Thalan Toxi-Flame).

Mydei is also called "Mydeimos the Undying" in the Amphoreus' Saga of Heroes trailer. In Greek Mythology, Deimos is the god of terror. Similarly, Mydei is shown fighting on the battlefield, "bathing in blood for the rightful crown". He is also described as the "heir who pursues" strife, implying that his personality is indeed similar to the Greek god Deimos'.
