Battle Sense in Apex Legends is one of the key features out of all the new changes implemented in Season 22. It highlights the enemy's health bar when a player hits them. However, the highlight only stays when players have direct LoS (Line of Sight) on the target they are shooting at.
While most of the community is having fun and enjoying the new season, Mirage encountered a small setback as Battle Sense has a direct impact on his gameplay. Battle Sense renders Mirage’s clones impactless as players can easily identify the real Mirage by shooting each model once. This leads players to wonder if Mirage is worth playing in Season 22 after this nerf.
Having said that, let's discuss why Battle Sense in Apex Legends nerfs Mirage to the ground.

New feature, Battle Sense in Apex Legends ends up indirectly nerfing Mirage
As mentioned, Battle Sense in Apex Legends allows players to see the health bar of the enemies they are shooting at. Each player needs a direct line of vision to see how much health their opponent has. This also mentally impacts the players to play differently as they know exactly how much health the enemy has, opening up numerous new outcomes of a single fight.
This new feature renders Mirage's clones ineffective as players can easily find out the real one. Therefore, when encountering a Mirage, players must shoot every clone once to know which one is real. Additionally, since Mirage players usually activate their ultimate to get away from the enemies or to confuse the enemies while fighting, they normally pop it in open spaces.
As the Battle Sense feature requires a direct line of sight of the target, Mirage will get knocked down when he is in an open place as there is no cover around him. During the entirety of the time that Mirage is fighting, his health bar will be visible to the player if they do not lose line of sight, automatically granting the latter an upper hand in that fight.
This ultimately has reduced Mirage's viability compared to other characters in all of the game modes. As a result of this change, players have been switching over to other Legends that suit their playstyle.
