The makers the next Deus Ex game have certainly given this perspective a fair share since they have decided to use the new “Dawn Engine” to run their new exclusive game. The engine is a modified version of IO's Glacier 2—the engine powering Hitman: Absolution.

Eidos's Sacha Ramtohul rolled out the intention behind this decision saying, "In the past, we’ve relied on existing engines for our games. But in the end, we found that our creative vision was somehow limited. So we decided it was time for us to invest in creating an engine tailored for our needs.

For now if the development of this prestigious game is to be dealt by a new engine we can certainly hope that the results would be evidently better.
