The Alan Wake 2 DLC is about Night Springs, an in-universe TV show also highlighted in past games, and will feature three episodes each with familiar playable characters: the Number One Fan based on the waitress Rose Marigold from the base game. She will be armed with a shotgun to deal with the minions of darkness and must save the Writer from imminent threat.
Then there's the Actor, based on real-life actor Shawn Ashmore. His likeness draws inspiration from Sheriff Timothy Breaker, also from the base game. However, many fans will also find him resembling Jack Joyce from Quantum Break, also played by the actor. As the hero Time Breaker, he aims to track down the Master of the Many Worlds and stop him from killing Breaker's alternate selves.
The Sibling meanwhile is an alternate version of Control's Jesse Faden, who wants to find her missing brother in an alternate reality of Coffee World. Finally, the Night Springs DLC is the first of two expansions and will only be available as part of the Alan Wake 2 Expansion Pass, which is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition as well as the physical versions.
