The Apex Legends' Season 23 trailer showcases a revived Lifeline. The Support Legend now sports a new and fairly aggressive kit to help her stay in the battle while also healing and protecting allies. Her abilities shown in the trailer are as follows:

  • Combat Glide: Hold Jump mid-air to use to D.O.C. to briefly glide, and deploy D.O.C. to revive teammates, leaving Lifeline free to defend.
  • D.O.C. Heal Drone: D.O.C. heals nearby allies. D.O.C. can be assigned to follow allies once deployed.
  • D.O.C. Halo: throw D.O.C. to activate Halo Shield System. All players inside use Health & Shield consumables faster.

Lifeline's D.O.C drone has received major upgrades and can now be used for gliding in the air. Furthermore, she can create a Halo Shield which is a ring-shaped barrier that blocks out all bullets and remains impervious to damage.

The mode will transport players back to the original Apex Legends experience complete with the primary ruleset, abilities, and old-school weapons. This also implies that players will not have any EVO armor or ability upgrades, they'll have to rely on sheer skill and experience.
