Assassin's Creed Shadows first DLC expansion revealed, promises free content for pre-order

The Steam store page for Assassin's Creed Shadows has been updated, Ubisoft's upcoming open-world action RPG game, offering new details about the upcoming DLC. The page suggests this new expansion will be titled Claws of Awaji. Furthermore, it will be available for free alongside a bonus quest to players who pre-order the game before launch.

According to the Steam page description, the DLC will feature around 10 hours of all-new content. Players will be thrust into an all-new story where they will be on the run while being hunted by a deadly new enemy in an island setting. Players will be on the lookout for a lost treasure in this expansion.

To accomplish this, they will get to master the new weapon type "Bo" as well as new abilities and skill upgrades, all of which will be paramount when facing unknown enemies during the campaign when Claws of Awaji launches sometime later in 2025. Additionally, the bonus quest titled Thrown to the Dogs will be available to play at launch upon pre-order.
