Astro Bot wins Game of the Year at TGA 2024 beating Black Myth Wukong and Elden Ring SOTE

TGA 2024 has certainly been a blast with many surprises, but none came close to Astro Bot, the winner of the Game of the Year title. Despite fierce competition, the little robot managed to jump over the hurdles to be crowned the uncontested king of gaming this year. Astro Bot triumphs as the Game of the Year in TGA 2024

The 10th Anniversary night of The Game Awards celebrated gaming like every year, but one game stood above all of them and was crowned as the Game of the Year 2024. Astro Bot beat Metaphor ReFantazio, Balatro, Black Myth Wukong, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, winning the title and becoming the best game the industry offered this year.

The competition was quite fierce, and the little robot went against massive giants like Atlus, FromSoftware, Square Enix, etc, but was able to come out on top.

Swen Vincke, the game director of last year's GOTY winner, Baldur's Gate 3 took to the stage to announce this year's champion, dropping subtle hints about the game that was about to be crowned. This was followed by The Game Awards Orchestra performing music from all the nominees. Finally, the moment arrived, and Astro was crowned as the Game of the Year for 2024.

Besides winning the prestige of GOTY, Astro Bot also won three other awards for TeamAsobi in the following categories.

• Best Action/Adventure
• Best Game Direction
• Best Family Game

With that, the night of TGA 2024 came to an end and another chapter in gaming was written during the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the event.
