After being revealed late last year, Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition finally has a release date. The remaster of the beloved Ubisoft classic is coming to all major consoles and PCs on July 25, 2024. This was confirmed via a new trailer for the game highlighting the enhanced visuals, performance, and new features from Ubisoft, which was then promptly deleted.

While likely an accidental early reveal, this is followed up by publisher Ubisoft delisting the original 2003 version across storefronts. Here is everything fans and newcomers need to know about Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition's upcoming launch.

Which platforms is Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition coming to?

The remaster is headed to PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2024. The trailer suggests players can expect a 4K 60 FPS experience across the home consoles and PC. However, there is no word on what performance the Nintendo Switch version will target.

What will remain consistent across platforms is crisp, enhanced visuals, improved controls, and a fully re-orchestrated OST. Since this is a remaster, the core premise remains the same: players control the protagonist Jade across a sci-fi adventure, as she battles the evil DomZ Armada invasion on the planet of Hillys.

With close allies such as adoptive uncle Pey’j and the ex-Hillyan Army sergeant Double H, she must platform and combat her way to restore peace on the planet. In anticipation of the remaster, the publisher has also pulled copies of the original game across platforms. Those who already owned it on PC and other consoles will still retain their copies, however, it is no longer available for purchase.

As per the trailer, Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will be available on day one on the Ubisoft Plus catalog, meaning subscribers can enjoy it at no extra cost.
