CoD devs disable live pings from Warzone Ranked Play 

Warzone Ranked Play is seeing some major changes as the developers have decided to remove the live ping system from the mode. Live pings removed by CoD devs from Warzone Ranked Play

The Cod developers recently announced via an official post on X that live pings would be disabled from Warzone Ranked Play.

Previously, you could mark the exact location of an enemy player, and if that opponent stayed still or in the open, your teammates could see the live location of that player marked by a red diamond. This enabled you to coordinate with your team effectively without having to use verbal communication.

However, live pinging will no longer be possible in this game mode. This has been done to encourage players to try a more strategic approach to the game instead of blindly pointing and shooting. Communication will now be more important than ever if you wish to fight with your team.

The downside to this, however, is the reduction of a non-verbal communication might impact the gameplay experience if some gamers decide not to use their microphones. This has also been addressed by the developers with the new ping system.

The developers, through the official post on X, also stated:

“Pinging an enemy will now instantly trigger a danger ping instead.”

The new ping system has also been explained by the developers through the post. Now, if you try to ping an enemy, it will trigger a danger ping instead, notifying your teammates of a potential enemy towards that location. This keeps some parts of non-verbal communication still intact, all the while improving the overall competitive integrity of the game mode.
