Kez will arrive in Dota 2 as part of Crownfall Act 4, with the Bird Samurai being announced just before The International 13 Grand Final. The reveal came in the form of a short clip and the community will thankfully not have to wait for almost a year, which was the case for the Ringmaster.

It will be interesting to see how Kez affects the game's current meta and Dota 2 hero tier list.

While we know that Kez debuts with Crownfall Act 4, there's no confirmed timeline for the next chapter of the ongoing Dota 2 saga. Crownfall began with Act 1 back in April 2024, with Act 2 coming in May and Act 3 in July. With TI 13 now concluded, we expect to see the final chapter arrive within the next few weeks and at most a month.

Not much is known about Kez beyond the 52-second clip. The Bird Samurai is seen with sharp talons and a blade in hand. We see a twisting tornado-esque move similar to Juggernaut's Q ability, Blade Fury. The video remarks that "Every revolution needs a hero" and we can expect the new hero to join in the ongoing struggle involving Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit.
