What is the story of Dynasty Warriors Origins?

Set during the Chinese Three Kingdoms period, players control an amnesiac hero a year before the events of the Yellow Turban Rebellion. As a martial artist, the protagonist must fight alongside familiar faces such as Zhang Jiao and Guan Yu, both of whom are encountered in a village struck by famine.

You, these two, and certain other characters aim to help the oppressed and eradicate the injustice doled out by corrupt government officials. However, that is easier said than done, as your objective entails facing hordes of enemies, as is the series tradition.

Being the most advanced entry in the series yet, Koei Tecmo will bring the "1 vs 1,000" power fantasy to life with an army of foes for the single hero to fight through. The game will also feature a variety of varied set-pieces and bosses to spice up the horde-mowing gameplay.

The scale of the combat associated with this series has never been as impressive, with hundreds of on-screen foes. You will also be able to command your own army to take on the opposition and fight towards victory.
