Elden Ring Nightreign announced at TGA 2024, next chapter of Game of the Year title set for 2025 release

TGA 2024 has started strong, announcing one of the most anticipated games as well as something that no one saw coming, Elden Ring Nightreign. From the looks of it, we are returning to the Lands Between again, this time likely after the events of the first game. Elden Ring Nightreign has been given a 2025 release window.

Elden Ring was certainly a phenomenon, winning multiple awards and even going on to become the winner of The Game of the Year 2022. The game recently got an expansion this year, titled Shadow of the Erdtree, and now a chapter with co-op has been revealed during The Game Awards 2024.

Awaken Tarnished, it is time for you to rise to the challenge once again. It has not even been a year since we ventured into the Land of Shadows, and FromSoftware has announced another adventure. Titled Nightrein, the upcoming sequel to the 2022 Game of the Year winner will feature co-op gameplay, allowing you to team up with your friends and venture into the Lands Between.

Elden Ring Nightreign has been given a 2025 release window as of now, but no confirmed date has been given out yet. There also seem to be several new additions to the already fantastic gameplay, such as sprinting, new movement mechanics, and, from the look of the trailer, even using the various creatures to traverse the world.

In all likeliness, Elden Ring Nightrein will take place alongside the events of the first game, where a set of new adventurers will venture into the Lands Between. 2025 will be a big year for gamers and the surprising sequel to The Game of the Year 2022 winner will be one of the biggest launches next year.
