The leftist Leftovers podcast may go on a hiatus after Ethan Klein revealed he would be talking about it with co-host "HasanAbi" Piker and fans have pointed to their differences over the Israel-Palestine issue as the primary cause. Since the recent conflict started, both Klein and Piker have been discussing the issue on their show, and their differing attitudes seem to be leading to a fallout.
Ethan, who is married to Israeli-American fashion designer Hila Klein, who has served in the IDF, has clashed with HasanAbi on the show about his stance on the conflict. Readers should note that Piker is known for sympathizing with the plight of Palestinian casualties in the war, having raised over a million dollars in humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The two have been friends for a long time, but their different perspectives on the issues seem to be the primary reason for pausing the Leftovers Podcast.
