The European giants, G2 Esports benched their rifler nexa. After a short span of six months, the Serbian rifler has been moved down from the main roster of G2. In a recent X Post from @G2CSGO, they posted a farewell video and thanked Nemanja “nexa” Isaković for his contribution towards the German org. Meanwhile, he is open to finding other organizations in the Counter-Strike esports scene.

G2 benches nexa ahead of Eports World Cup

Ahead of the Esports World Cup in July, the European powerhouse G2 Esports made a tough decision and benched nexa. The Serbian rifler joined G2 in January 2019, after leaving the Ukranian org CR4ZY. Despite G2's failure to win anything during his three-year span, he performed well and helped the org to place 2nd in PGL Major Stockholm in 2021.
However, as it may, nexa selected a fresh team for a change. Hence, G2 agreed on a swap deal with OG to swap Aleksib, in exchange for the Serbian rifler. Later, in 2023, the 27-year-old joined G2’s main roster and helped them win their first CS2 trophy IEM Dallas 2024.
However, recently the German org failed to win any match due to their poor performance. Some netizens speculate that as a result of showcasing this poor performance, G2 has benched nexa.
According to a popular CS2 content creator and leaker @OzznyCS2, while nexa is out of the G2 Esports’ main roster, they might be in talks with M80’s Guatemalan rifler malbsMD. However, they’re yet to disclose anything officially.
