The talented team at The Forge Falcons took advantage of Halo's first-party level editor, The Forge, to build Helljumpers. Their previous game mode, Survive the Undead, was widely loved by the community. In fact, developers liked it so much that they made it a part of the game's official matchmaking playlist.
As mentioned earlier, currently Helljumpers is scheduled for release on June 28, 2024. However, it might be delayed by a few weeks, if the developers feel that the mode's experience isn't up to their expectations yet.
Here's what The Forge Falcons, the team behind the mode had to say about the release date,
"Internal playtesting will take place in roughly 10-12 days from now and that is when we will be able to determine if the experience is up to our quality bar for release on the 28th."
They further added,
"We have confidence it will, but if we need to delay it for a few more weeks, we will. But currently, development is going extremely well."
According to the team, this is their "most ambitious forge project" to date, following their accomplishments with the Zombies and the Halo Battle Royale modes.
With the recent controversies surrounding Helldivers 2, this mode could be a great alternative for fans of the game. Moreover, it will be completely free to play as long as you own the shooter. But the best part is that Halo Infinite's multiplayer mode is already free to play. So, even if you don't own the full game, you can play the mode as soon as it goes live without paying a single cent.
That covers everything about The Forge Falcons' new game mode Helljumpers in Halo Infinite.
