Honkai Impact 3rd will soon be teaming up with Honkai: Star Rail in a one-of-a-kind new collab. Fans of both the Honkai titles have been looking forward to a collaboration for quite some time, and HoYoverse has finally granted their wishes. The Honkai Impact 3rd x Honkai: Star Rail Collab will be released in an upcoming Honkai Impact 3rd patch, and an official preview for this collab has also been released by HoYoverse on Youtube.

Honkai Impact 3rd x Honkai: Star Rail Collab announced

The Honkai Impact 3rd x Honkai: Star Rail Collab will be released in version 7.9 of Honkai Impact 3rd. A preview version of the full behind-the-scenes for the collab will also premiere on September 19, 2024, where more information about the upcoming collab will be disclosed.

This is not the first time that HoYoverse has launched a crossover between two of its own titles, as seen from the Honkai Impact 3rd x Genshin Impact collaboration that happened in Honkai Impact 3rd v4.9. This time, it is the two Honkai series games' turn to be featured in an exciting crossover that will bring together the two universes.

A preview for the full-behind-the scenes video has also been released, which features both Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd characters such as Welt, Jingyuan, Feixiao, Tingyun, Firefly, Trailblazer, Kiana, and Elysia. The implications for certain characters in this collaboration such as Welt (and also Bronya, Seele, and Natasha) will be rather interesting because these characters exist in both the Honkai universes. How their stories play out in the Honkai Impact 3rd x Honkai: Star Rail Collab will definitely be a spectacle to behold.

As of this writing, no further official report is available on which characters will be featured in the collab, but more information will be made public shortly, once the behind-the-scenes video premieres on September 19. It is also worth noting that since this collab features a Honkai Star Rail crossover with the Honkai Impact 3rd universe, all new characters/events/weapons will be introduced only in Honkai Impact 3rd, and not in Honkai Star Rail.
