Honkai Star Rail 3.0 to feature 8 character banners

The Honkai Star Rail 3.0 special program livestream revealed what the developer, HoYoverse, has prepared for the Trailblazers. Among all the announcements, the banner announcements have caught the players’ eye. According to the official announcement, the forthcoming update will feature a whopping eight banners. This has caught players off guard since the developer has never released these many banners in a single patch.

Upcoming Honkai Star Rail 3.0 update set to feature 8 banners

As per the official Honkai Star Rail 3.0 special program live telecast, HoYoverse — the developer of this turn-based gacha title — revealed that the forthcoming update will feature eight limited-time banners. These banners will be split into two parts since the patch will also be divided into two splits.

Hence, the first phase will feature four banners (excluding the signature Light Cone banners), one new character, and three reruns. Similarly, the second half will boast four. As mentioned earlier, this is the first time HoYoverse will be making these many characters available simultaneously.

If the developer continues releasing these many characters every patch, there is a high chance players will be able to acquire their desired 5-star, which they missed previously. Moreover, more characters means players will be able to roll for whoever they desire by simply switching the banners from the Warp section.

Alongside these limited-time banners, the 5-star characters’ signature Light Cones will also be available. Hence, after acquiring a 5-star unit, Trailblazers can roll for the respective signature LC.
