Recently, HoYoverse made an unannounced change to Honkai Star Rail’s voice acting cast, which would have likely gone unnoticed if not for X user hxg_diluc, a renowned name in the community. It appears that Adam Michael Gold, the voice behind Argenti and subsequently, Mr. Tail, has now been replaced with two new VAs.
For those wondering, the official website reflects the changes with the names of the substitute cast. HoYoverse has yet to specify the reasons for replacing Michael Gold’s voice, which fans would like to know considering both Argenti and Mr. Tails were iconic.

According to the tweet from hxg_diluc, Adam Michael Gold is no longer Agenti’s voice actor in Honkai Star Rail and has also stepped down from being the cast of Mr. Tails, the guardian phantom of Huohuo. Gold has been replaced by two new VAs, with Talon Warburton claiming the role of the fan-favorite classic knight from the Knights of Beauty faction.
Additionally, Aaron Veach is the new cast for Mr. Tails, and Trailblazers can listen to their new voices on the official website. It is worth noting that HoYoverse has yet to explain the circumstances for the sudden changes. Hence, the community is concerned about the future of the characters.
Argenti, in particular, became prominent due to his deep devotion towards Aeon Idrila of Beauty, and more so for possessing a robust kit that defined the Path of Erudition. Adam Michael Gold has done an excellent job breathing life into the iconic knight, and the community is expecting the same from Talon Warburton.
In light of the announced replacement, fans have brought up an instance from version 2.2's story quest where Argenti's English dub was muted. Perhaps Michael Gold had silently departed back then, so HoYoverse had to add the new cast to Honkai Star Rail's voice actor list.
Regardless, both Talon Warburton and Aaron Veach have done an excellent job of voicing their respective characters. Hopefully, the game's experience will remain unchanged in future updates.
