Honkai Star Rail Sunday gameplay leaks explored
Sunday was deemed to be a playable 5-star character in Honkai Star Rail via his official drip marketing. It has been confirmed that he will join the Imaginary roster, treading on the Harmony Path. Hence, his abilities are tailored to buff teammates and assist them throughout the course of battle.
Here's a detailed breakdown of Sunday's kit and their in-game interaction, based on the leaked footage shared by Dimbreath.
Basic ATK
Sunday summons an orb to attack a designated target dealing Imaginary DMG.
Skill
Sunday activates his Skill to summon tiny angelic figures that latch on to a teammate. This ability enables an ally and their summon to immediately take action. At the same time, their damage will be increased significantly.
The Advanced Forward effect is applicable to characters outside the Harmony Path.
Ultimate
Upon activating Ultimate, Sunday catches a golden feather and projects an angelic figure in the background. This ability does not trigger an attack but designates an ally and their summon as “The Beatified." Their CRIT DMG will be increased based on Sunday’s critical value.
Overall, the playable version of Sunday in Honkai Star Rail seems to have a simple character design and attack animations, unlike some of the more flashy entities like Rappa or Boothill. However, this is based on leaks from closed beta and is subject to change at any given time.
Regardless, Sunday will be a solid addition to any team in the game, especially when paired with someone that uses a summon.
