Honkai Star Rail wins at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024 in Still Playing (Mobile) category

Announced during the official Golden Joystick Awards livestream held on November 21, 2024, Honkai Star Rail has won the award for Still Playing: Mobile. The Golden Joystick Awards are one of the longest-running gaming award ceremonies that are publicly voted. The ceremony for 2024 took place in London this evening, with a simultaneous livestream happening on YouTube.

Nominations for the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards were revealed on October 4, 2024. Fans were allowed to vote for their favorite games across various nomination categories till November 1, 2024, following which votings were closed.

Interestingly, Genshin Impact was nominated at the Golden Joystick Awards 2023 for the Still Playing category, alongside other extremely popular games such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Valorant. Since there was no separate Still Playing: Mobile category last year (all mobile, PC, and console games were grouped together), Genshin Impact failed to win, with No Man's Sky taking the prize instead.

However, with the Still Playing category being separated into Mobile and Console & PC this year, Honkai Star Rail had a better shot at winning the award, which it did.

Honkai Star Rail is having a good year so far, as it also recently won another award: the Best Ongoing Game at Google Play's Best of 2024 Awards. With two wins in their basket this year, players are expecting HoYoverse to give out free in-game rewards as a thank-you gift, much like they did last year.
