Hotlink Uni Legends is a new Mobile Legends Bang Bang tournament exclusively for higher-education-institution students in Malaysia. The competition has its registrations open for MLBB enthusiasts and other esports gamers. Anyone can sign up for this tournament until August 19, 2024, and it is set to begin in September 2024.
The community is excited to see the performances of up-and-coming MLBB pros, especially with a large chunk of the RM100,000 prize pool at stake.
How to participate in the Hotlink Uni Legends tournament
The Hotlink Uni Legends tournament is among the many esports initiatives supported by the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kementern Belia dan Sukan).

Per a press release, players can participate in the Hotlk Uni Legends MLBB tournament by forming a team of six. While any individual (Malaysian or an international citizen) of any age can participate in the tournament, their teammates have to be students and must be studying at a higher-education institution in Malaysia.

Maxis, one of Malaysia's leading telecommunication companies, is one of this event's partners. Rabiras Rajakrishnan, Head of Postpaid at the company, has said this regarding the event:
"We are super excited to be hosting Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB for the first time to expose university students in Malaysia to esports in a big way. With MLBB being one of the most popular mobile games in Malaysia, we hope this event reaches out to a wider group of youths and provides them with an outlet for teamwork, strategy, and wholesome fun."

The event will culminate in a three-day Grand Finale, which will begin on October 18, 2024, and run until October 20, 2024. The top eight teams from the previous phases will be fighting against each other for first place in this stage. The Grand Finale will feature an array of food bazaars, urban festivals, and music festivals for the audience and will be held at Universiti Tenknologi MARA (UiTM).
The MLBB Hotlink Uni Legends tournament is supported by Moonton Games' MPL Malaysia tournament, which is the longest-running esports tournament in the country and serves as a gateway for players to represent Malaysia at international MLBB tournaments.
