HoYoverse has teased a new game in the Honkai IP on Chinese social media. Revealed with brand new art, the franchise's upcoming title will likely be CRPG with a focus on monster collecting. The Honkai series is definitely going big this year with a Star Rail x Impact 3rd Collab, and now a new game being revealed in China can be another major success for HoYoverse.

The announcement post for this new Honkai game was unveiled by X users Star Rail Universe (@StarRailVerse1) and Mello (@to_mmo2) as it was only revealed on Chinese social media platforms. Here's everything we know about this new Honkai game that the developers behind Genshin Impact might unveil soon.

HoYoverse revealed a new Honkai RPG on the Chinese social-media platform Bilibili

HoYoverse released an official artwork for its brand-new project, which is part of the Honkai universe. Shared by a few X users, the game will likely be a CRPG based on monster hunting and cultivation. This was apparent from the translated tags, which suggestively stated the following:

• Modern town
• Elf Cultivation
• CRPG
• Fun Fantasy

As many people speculate, the Elf Cultivation hints at a system that will allow you to capture and breed various creatures you can find in the wild, similar to Nintendo's Pokemon IP or Pocketpair's Palworld. The Elf part might tie in with the Elf system from Honkai Impact 3rd, allowing Valkyries to carry a small pet to combat arenas that will assist them during battle.

The game will also be set in a modern city-like setting similar to Zenless Zone Zero.

While HoYoverse is yet to unveil this project globally, it might will do so during the next major gaming event—The Game Awards 2024. We may also get more information regarding this title and whether it is the leaked project Astaweave Haven or a completely different project the team has been working on.
