"I'll always be a part of OTV family" - Pokimane opens up and gets emotional about her shocking exit from OfflineTV

Imane “Pokimane” recently "graduated" from OfflineTV, much to the shock of fans worldwide. As one of the founding members of the content creation group, she has been integral to their success. OTV members were emotional about the announcement, as was Imane herself. The Twitch superstar opened up about what this step means for her in a livestream.

Pokimane assured fans that she was still open to showing up in OfflineTV content, as they all live in the same area and are friends. Though Imane is moving on to other projects, she still cares deeply for the OTV crew.

She said:

"I feel like I’ll always be a part of the OTV family, especially living in LA. We can always do things together.”

Pokimane gets emotional when discussing her exit from OfflineTV

In an emotional YouTube video, Pokimane and OfflineTV revealed that the founding member had “graduated” and would no longer be a full-time member of OTV. Varied responses poured in, and Imane also made her feelings known in the video.

She went on to clarify in a recent livestream that it had simply become too difficult for her to find time and create content with Offline TV full-time.

“Especially as everybody lives together, and their schedules tend to align quite a bit, for me to be able to dabble in different things, and continue to evolve in my career and in my personal life, I found it really really hard to do that, and attend all of the OTV things.”

However, Pokimane feels that she will always be a part of the family.

“Yeah, uh, when I announced it to everybody - You know how you get mad at yourself for being emotional? I’m a bad b**ch! Anyways, when I announced it, the way I worded it to everyone was like, I think it’s time for me to join the ‘and friends’ of OTV and friends.”

When asked if she was still technically a part of OfflineTV, Pokimane assured fans that she now belongs to the “and friends” aspect of OTV and Friends. Nothing has really changed other than that she will not be making full-time content with the group anymore.

Poki gave the OfflineTV Japan trip from 2022 as an example of how her schedule clashed with the group's. She had committed to several events, which meant that there were unavoidable scheduling conflicts. Pokimane stated in the stream that she didn’t want to be an obstacle in OfflineTV's content planning.

“I just wanted to do what’s best for everyone, and I felt like it’s not, for a while, we were trying to experiment with, okay, what if I’m not in everything, and I just make it to the things that I can make it to? But I feel like that isn’t fair to viewers. Frankly, some people were really really mean about it.”

Some viewers were apparently quite upset that Pokimane wasn’t in a few of the OTV Japan videos.

“I’m someone who likes to chase new things, and try new things, but it felt bad trying to do that, and having one foot in OTV and one foot out. It’s not fair, right?”

Pokimane said that it was unfair to the viewers and the members of OfflineTV if she could not commit to everything. The streaming superstar fondly reminisced about her excellent run with the group.

Social media reacts to Pokimane leaving Offline TV

Upon posting the clip from her livestream to her secondary YouTube channel, Imane received comments from many well-wishers. Many fans thanked her for her time in Offline TV. Some said that she was the heart of OTV, while others agree that this is a good move.
