India’s gaming star Mortal nominated for Esports Personality of the Year at Esports Awards 2024

Popular gaming influencer Naman ‘Mortal’ Mathur has once again been nominated for the Esports Personality of the Year Awards 2024. This is the third consecutive time he has been nominated for the same category. He was the runner-up in 2022. His organization, S8UL, has also been nominated for the Esports Content Group of the Year this year (2024). The club was the winner of 2022 in the same category.

Naman Mathur is a former PUBG Mobile/BGMI athlete, who played for his organization, named Team Soul, and has lifted many notable trophies. He is now a full-time streamer and recently also met India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other gamers.

Mortal was second in the Streamer of the Year in 2020 and 2021. Recently, he ranked first in the Jod Creator of Battlegrounds Mobile India game. Over the past six years, the beloved gamer has made a big name for himself.

In 2022, Matthew Naag aka Nadeshot was the winner of this category. India’s Mortal secured the first runner-up spot, while MoistCr1TiKaL ranked third. A total of 12 influencers from around were nominated for this title.

In 2023, Disquised Toast, a Taiwanese-Canadian streamer, was the winner of the Personality of the Year award. He has once again been nominated for the same award this year.

Ibai Llanos, a Spanish influencer, has been named in this category. He has won many accolades, including the Streamer of the Year 2022 at the Esports Awards. He is wildly popular and has a large fan base for his unique commentary and content collection.

Turkey's Tarik Celik is a former Counter-Strike professional player. He is now one of the popular Twitch streamers. He has played for many renowned clubs like Cloud9, MIBR, and Evil Geniuses.

Apart from Mortal, Nobru from Bazil has been nominated for this award from the mobile gaming community. He is a former Free Fire athlete and hugely popular streamer. He has also been nominated for the straight three times in the same category.

On June 27, the Esports Awards revealed its nominees for many categories, including the Esports Game of Year and Streamer of the Year. The award ceremony will take place on August 2024 in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. It has recently partnered with the Esports World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia.
