Popular Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" recently reacted to controversial internet personality Andrew Tate's tweets that contain anime girls superimposed next to himself. The posts have caused quite a discussion, with people online baffled as to why someone like Tate, who has built a brand around his masculinity, would post pictures of anime women.
While reacting to one such post from Andrew Tate's Twitter that was shared to his official subreddit, Asmongold wondered out loud to his viewers what the reason for the tweets could be. The streamer believes that it could be a way for Tate to gain the attention of a new audience. Asmongold even brought up the recently released Honkai Star Rail as a possible reason for the contentious figure's obsession with anime girls.
"Is it just something funny that he thinks, that you know, he thinks it just gets people talking about him? Is he, like you know, into anime now? Or is he playing Honkai Star Rail secretly?"

"What happened in that jail cell?": Asmongold discusses Andrew Tate's recent anime girl tweets
Anyone familiar with Tate will know that he is not the type of person to post animated women on his profile. After all, he is known for his controversial takes on women, and the online personality has been labeled the "king of toxic masculinity" due to his views about gender roles.
His recent arrest in Romania related to human trafficking charges has only served to make him more notorious online, and Asmongold brought up the police custody while discussing the tweets, insinuating that something happened then that might explain the current phenomena.
"What's this, Andrew Tate be wildin'? Oh god, I saw this, oh my god. Oh boy, I don't know what happened. Bro, everybody's been saying it. What happened in that jail cell? Oh man, what the f*ck happened in the jail cell? It's like, you don't even wanna know."
While speculating, one of his viewers also brought up the popular Aayaya meme and the fact that Tate might be promoting HoYoverse's recent gacha game, Honkai Star Rail.
"HoYoverse mascot, AYAYA?"
Asmongold then brought up the caption of the post that was posted to his subreddit, which was referring to a Twitter user's interaction with Tate, who appeared to defend his position on positing photoshopped anime girls:
"This guy says, 'Stay away from Kiana.' And Andrew Tate says, 'Or?' Or what? (laughs) Oh my f*cking god."
The streamer was quite surprised at the former kickboxer's posts and wondered what the point of them was:
"I wonder why he's doing it. I wonder what is the endgame here. Is it just, like, a weird thing? I don't know, man."
Redditors of r/Asmongold had many theories, one of which the streamer found viable:
"'Prison did unimaginable damage to this man's psyche.' Yeah, that's about right."
Here are some more reactions from the subreddit:
After his recent release from prison, Andrew Tate recently had a 'poison scare' when he shared pictures of a swollen face.
